http://www.army.mod.uk/news/19404.aspx Please can someone comment on the above page? Why is it that MOD and the army exploit dogs and put them in danger. Are the people on the frontline too cowardly to face danger themselves? Why is there no a machine that does this job that endangers neither man or canine? Exploitation of dogs in this manner is neither impressive,anything to be proud of or British. This country should have something better than putting canines in danger to save the necks of people who should be putting THEIR necks on the line anyway. So much money is used on the defence budget - why isn't any of it used on bomb detection machines so these dogs are not put in harm's way?
