| I was all alone and so scared. The world became such
a frightening place the day I was abandoned. At first, when my owner took
me out in the car, I thought we were going for a walk in the country. But
then we stopped and he just pushed me out and drove off.
I tried to follow him, but it was no good. What had I done to make him do
a thing like that? I was part of the family. I thought we were so happy together.
PLEASE HELP LONELY DOGS FIND A LITTLE LOVE IN THE WORLD
I waited and waited for him to come back. Then it got dark and night came.
I'd never been on my own before, who was going to look after me now?
I was really scared and so hungry all the time. In the end I just curled
up in a ditch trying to keep warm. I don't know how long I was there, but
then a man found me. He was so kind to me. I think he saved my life. It was
because of him that I was brought here to Dogs Trust.
£3 A MONTH FROM YOU MEANS A DOG LIKE ME NEED NEVER
BE LONELY
AGAIN
My name's Sammy. And I'm writing to you to tell you about Dogs Trust. They
took me in, gave me a home and fed me up till I was strong again.
They mended all my cuts and bruises and gave me a whole world full of love
and kindness. It was so different from the huge, frightening, empty world
I'd been living in. I'll never forget how good it felt on that first night
just to be indoors where it was so warm and cosy.

£3 A MONTH MAKES THE WORLD A HAPPIER PLACE FORA DOG LIKE ME
The food, heating and medical bills all add up - Dogs Trust spends over £1
million pounds every year just on vets bills! To give us the care we need,
they depend entirely on people like you supporting them with a regular donation
of £3 a month. The leaflet with this letter tells you more about
Dogs Trust and a few of my friends. On the other side there's a brilliant
picture of some of the dogs they've helped over the years.
(I'm in there. Can you spot me?)
Thank
you for reading my letter. Just £3 a month might be the difference between
life and death. It certainly was for me. If you could find it in your heart
to make a donation, your generosity really would make the world a better
place for so many dogs.
Thank you for reading my letter.
